6 Procurement Decarbonization Criteria
Each supplier receives a weighted score 0–100. Minimum threshold 50 for contract renewal; 75+ qualifies for preferred status and volume uplift.
Carbon Intensity Score
kgCO₂e per unit of product or service delivered. Benchmarked against sector averages. Supplier must show year-on-year reduction trajectory.
Weight: 30% of total score
Certification Status
ISO 14001, ISO 50001, ISCC PLUS, Science Based Targets (SBTi). Each active certification adds points; lapsed certs reduce score.
Weight: 25% of total score
Reporting Transparency
Quality and frequency of GHG disclosures. CDP submission, CSRD readiness, third-party verified Scope 1/2/3 data availability.
Weight: 20% of total score
Renewable Energy Usage
% of operations powered by renewable energy. Bonus for on-site generation, PPA agreements, and RECs verified by issuing body.
Weight: 15% of total score
Climate Commitment
Has the supplier signed a net-zero pledge aligned with 1.5°C pathways? Verified targets with interim milestones score highest.
Weight: 5% of total score
Improvement Trajectory
Year-over-year carbon reduction rate. Suppliers showing ≥5% annual improvement automatically qualify for preferred status review.
